
Beef Stew

- Frying Pan
- Dutch Oven
Ingredients
- 3 lb Beef Chuck Cubed
- Flour
- 8+ T Vegetable oil
- 2 cups Water
- 1 x 32 Oz can Tomatoes Petite diced or crushed
- 8 Cloves whole
- 2 Bay Leaves
- 3 t salt
- 1/4 t Black pepper
- 1 cup Celery Chopped
- 1 Cup Onion Chopped
- 12 Carrots Chopped
- 4 Potatoes Chopped
- 1 Cup Green pepper Chopped
Instructions
- Roll beef in flour and brown in oil in batches in a single layer
- Add water, tomatoes, cloves, bay leaves, salt, and pepper. Stir.
- Simmer uncovered 1 1/2 hour
- Add vegetables
- Cook 1 hour
