Southern Sweet Tea

Equipment

  • Pitcher, 3 quart
  • Sauce Pan
  • Strainer

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Qt Water
  • 1 c Sugar
  • 1/2 Lemon sliced
  • 1/2 Orange sliced
  • 9 bags Black Tea regular size

Instructions
 

  • Bring water and sugar to a boil, dissolving sugar
  • Remove from heat, add tea bags
  • Steep tea for 8 minutes
  • Add ice, additional water, and fruit to pitcher
  • Strain tea bags and discard
  • Add tea to pitcher
  • Add water to top off pitcher
  • Mix and server or refrigerate
