Baked Glazed Ham
Ham with bourbon brown sugar glaze
Ingredients
- 1 Ham Shank, butt, or whole ham
- Whole cloves
- ยฝ c Water or white wine
- ยฝ c Pineapple juice
- ยฝ c Brown sugar, dark
- ยผ t Ginger, ground
- 2 T Bourbon
- 2 t Corn starch
- 1 t Dry mustard
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325ยฐ
- Slice ham fat in ยพ inch diamonds and stud the corners with cloves. Add water or wine to baking pan. Bake flat side down to an internal temperature of 140ยฐ.1 Ham, Whole cloves, ยฝ c Water
- Remove from over about 15 minutes before it is done. Turn fat side up, glaze, and return to oven for final 15 minutes
Prepare glaze
- Bring all glaze ingredients to a boil and simmer 2 – 3 minutesยฝ c Pineapple juice, ยฝ c Brown sugar, dark, ยผ t Ginger, ground, 2 T Bourbon, 2 t Corn starch, 1 t Dry mustard
- Cool
