Baked Glazed Ham

Ham with bourbon brown sugar glaze

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Ham Shank, butt, or whole ham
  • Whole cloves
  • ½ c Water or white wine
  • ½ c Pineapple juice
  • ½ c Brown sugar, dark
  • ¼ t Ginger, ground
  • 2 T Bourbon
  • 2 t Corn starch
  • 1 t Dry mustard

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 325°
  • Slice ham fat in ¾ inch diamonds and stud the corners with cloves. Add water or wine to baking pan. Bake flat side down to an internal temperature of 140°.
    1 Ham, Whole cloves, ½ c Water
  • Remove from over about 15 minutes before it is done. Turn fat side up, glaze, and return to oven for final 15 minutes

Prepare glaze

  • Bring all glaze ingredients to a boil and simmer 2 - 3 minutes
    ½ c Pineapple juice, ½ c Brown sugar, dark, ¼ t Ginger, ground, 2 T Bourbon, 2 t Corn starch, 1 t Dry mustard
  • Cool
