Baker's Original Brownies

Equipment

  • Double Boiler
  • Wire Wisk (or Electric Mixer)
  • 9 x 13 Baking Pan

Ingredients
  

  • 4 oz Bakers unsweetened chocolate 1 box
  • ⅔ c Butter
  • 1⅓ c Flour
  • 1 t Baking Powder
  • ½ t Salt
  • 4 Eggs Large
  • 2 c Sugar
  • 2 t Vanilla

Instructions
 

  • Preheat over to 350° with oven rack in the middle
  • Grease baking pan
  • Melt butter and chocolate in double boiler
    4 oz Bakers unsweetened chocolate, ⅔ c Butter
  • Measure flour, salt, and baking powder in a small bowl
    1⅓ c Flour, 1 t Baking Powder, ½ t Salt
  • Beat eggs thoroughly in a separate, large mixing bowl with wisk
    4 Eggs
  • Gradually add sugar to eggs and mix
    2 t Vanilla
  • Blend chocolate mixture and vanilla with sugar and eggs
    2 c Sugar
  • Add flour and stir well
  • Spread brownie mixture in baking pan and bake for 25 - 30 minutes
  • Cool and cut into 24 squares
